Fresh off the success of his first collaboration with ASICS, London-based menswear designer Kiko Kostadinov is back with another joint effort. Taking to Instagram, Kostadinov showcased his second collaboration with the Japan-based footwear brand, set to debut in 2024.
This new collaboration features a different take on the ASICS GEL-Teremoa model. Instead of the tumbled leather construction seen in the first installment, this version opts for a mesh-dominant design. The breathable mesh textile covers the upper from toe to heel, amplifying the brand’s logo with a bulbous aesthetic. The quarter and vamp’s panels are done in a contrasting flat leather treatment. The structured heel counter receives the same glossy finish as the previous release.
The Kiko Kostadinov x ASICS GEL-Novalis collaboration introduces two distinct colorways. One pair embraces a dark theme, with a gloomy burgundy hue on the mesh-based panels and contrasting jet-black accents. The second pair offers a stark juxtaposition, featuring off-white leather overlays that illuminate the upper and midsole, with blue and grey accents throughout.
Although further release details are yet to be announced, both pairs can be seen in first-look imagery. Fans of Kiko Kostadinov’s unique menswear designs and ASICS’ high-quality footwear can look forward to the release of the Kiko Kostadinov x ASICS GEL-Novalis collaboration in 2024. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting collaboration.
