After a decade-long hiatus, the adidas Attitude Hi is finally making its comeback. Originally released in 1986 as Patrick Ewing’s signature shoe, the Attitude Hi gained popularity with its New York Knicks colorway. Although there have been some collaborations on the silhouette by Jeremy Scott, the model has been absent from the adidas archives until now.
The Attitude Hi features a retro 80s basketball design, similar to some of today’s popular adidas lifestyle models. Key elements include the vintage adidas Basketball branding on the tongue and a trefoil heel logo, reminiscent of the era of short shorts and intense play styles. The cracked collegiate red leather on the stripes, as well as the ivory-colored laces and midsole, add a retro-inspired touch to complete the shoe’s aesthetic.
While there is no official confirmation on future releases of the Attitude Hi, the simple color blocking scheme of this pair suggests that more colorways may be on their way.
