In celebration of Lionel Messi’s eighth Ballon d’Or win, Adidas have released a special edition of the X Crazyfast.1 Messi boots, called ‘El Ocho’. To commemorate this achievement, Adidas has also created eight unique 14 karat gold championship rings. The design of the boots draws inspiration from the shades of gold seen on the Ballon d’Or award.
The X Crazyfast.1 Messi ‘El Ocho’ features a new colorway that reflects the golden hues of the prestigious award. On the heels of the boots, you can find Messi’s children’s names and dates of birth, adding a personal touch to the design. Additionally, each boot showcases eight balls on its medial side, symbolizing Messi’s eight Ballon d’Or wins. The soleplates of the boots display the years of each of Messi’s Ballon d’Or victories, serving as a final nod to his incredible achievement.
This release is just the latest addition to Messi’s collection of signature styles, which includes the ‘Leyenda’, ‘Infinito Messi’, and the recently launched ‘Las Estrellas’.
