Adidas has once again shown its dedication to community collaboration through its partnership with Eric “Shake” James from Milwaukee. Sneaker enthusiasts and community supporters can look forward to the exclusive release of the adidas Forum Low CL DAY ONE pack in November.
In a world where trends come and go, the DAY ONE pack pays tribute to genuine and enduring relationships. These are the friendships that stand the test of time, the connections that never fade, and the support systems that remain steadfast. James, drawing from his own journey, aims to honor the significance of “DAY ONE” friends – the lifelong companions who have been there from the beginning.
Eric “Shake” James is not only known for his philanthropic efforts in the Milwaukee community, but also for his genuine dedication to local betterment. Through his nonprofit organization, Jay Academy, and his collaboration with the adidas Cornerstone Community initiative, James has inspired many. Reflecting on the collaboration, James emphasized the importance of being an integral part of the community to make a difference. He encourages the youth to make wise choices when choosing their “DAY ONE.”
The design of the adidas Forum Low CL is deeply rooted in James’ experiences. It features a split suede toecap, a side panel with a full-grain leather body, and striking patent leather accents on the lower eyestay and heel cap. The hidden two-way pager design behind the tongue nods nostalgically to James’ past means of staying connected with his closest friends. The basketball jewel and crossword motif lace system pay homage to the shared passions and pastimes that solidified James’ connections with his “DAY ONE” friends.
But the tributes don’t end there. Each pack includes a microphone keychain, a sticker collection, and an art print of the shoes themselves, in a nod to the origins of sneaker culture and James’ love for hip-hop.
The Eric “Shake” James x adidas Forum Low CL DAY ONE pack will be officially released on November 11 at James’ Clicks store in Shorewood, Wisconsin. The first 400 pairs will come with a QR code, allowing buyers to gift another pair of adidas sneakers to their “DAY ONE.” An online release will also take place on the same day at clickskicks.net. The retail price is yet to be announced, so stay tuned to the Sole Retriever app and their Twitter account for updates on the release, raffles, news, and more in the sneaker and streetwear world.
