In the midst of Nike’s Yardrunners collection, which pays tribute to six Nike-sponsored Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), the Nike Terminator has not gained as much popularity as the brand had hoped. However, the latest colorway of the high-top sneaker may change that perception.
Moving away from its original collegiate-style color blockings, the Nike Terminator now showcases a more streetwear-inspired design. The once Georgetown-exclusive sneaker now features a sleek suede base layer in a soft baby blue color. The smooth leather overlays, along with the insoles and tread, are a contrasting dark navy shade. The light blue laces and crisp white midsole provide additional pops of color. Additionally, the sneaker incorporates aged cream finishes on the profile swooshes and the heel panel’s cream-tinted textile. The tongue and heel tabs are adorned with burnt orange accents.
The colorway of this Nike Terminator may be linked to the lifestyle brand’s latest inline collection of footwear, as hinted by the regal bronze Nike Basketball insole logos. While official release details are still awaited, detailed images of the Nike Terminator High “Blue Suede” can be seen in advance.
