Travis Scott may be known for his collaborations with Jordan Brand, but before him, another hip-hop superstar made waves with his partnership with the brand – Eminem. Eminem has had a longstanding relationship with Nike and Jordan, and one of his most iconic collaborations is the Air Jordan 4s that were exclusively released for his “Encore” album in 2005. Now, 18 years later, you have the chance to own a pair of these highly sought-after sneakers for a starting bid of $26,000.
Sotheby’s is hosting an auction for the Eminem x Air Jordan 4 “Encore” colorway, with an estimated sale price ranging from $40,000 to $60,000. It is rumored that only 50 pairs of these sneakers were produced, originally intended for friends and family, but a few sizes were made available to the public through a contest. The Air Jordan 4 features a bright blue nubuck upper with red, grey, and brown accents. The highlight of the shoe is the silver metallic sharpie signature of Eminem himself on the mid-foot overlay, along with the release year of the colorway.
In other sneaker news, the Jordan 4 “Military Blue” has recently surfaced in first-look images. Stay tuned for more updates on upcoming releases.
