In recent years, there has been an increase in the use of premium materials on the women’s Air Jordan 1 Low sneakers. Jordan Brand has been releasing a range of “Craft” iterations and experimenting with non-traditional fabrics. The latest addition to this line is the “Sand” colorway, which has been designed with winter in mind.
The design of this pair may appear simple, but the upgraded materials speak for themselves. The thick leather overlays combined with a nubuck base give the shoe a durable and luxurious feel. While the upper stays true to the original silhouette, a notable change can be seen on the tongue, where the nubuck extends from the toe box, replacing the typical nylon textile. To complete the winter aesthetic, the shoe is finished with a light gum sole, reminiscent of Timberland boots and other winter staples.
