In 2023, Travis Scott and Jordan Brand collaborated once again to release the vibrant “Canary” Air Jordan 1 Low OG. The initial images of this striking sneaker surfaced online at the end of December 2023, captivating fans with its electrifying yellow and white color scheme. The design featured Scott’s Cactus Jack branding in “Racer Blue” and a contrasting black reverse Swoosh. However, recent sneak peek images from @sharkicks1 suggest that the final product may differ slightly from the original design mockups.
It’s not surprising that the final design deviates from the initial images, as is common with mockup pictures. But Travis Scott fans can still expect a visually stunning sneaker that adds a pop of color to his Air Jordan 1 collection. The rapper’s latest rendition of the iconic Michael Jordan model continues to showcase the “Canary,” “Racer Blue,” “Light Silver,” and “Gum Medium Brown” color palette. However, the arrangement of these colors differs slightly from the initial design sneak peeks shared by @zsneakerheadz.
The “Canary” yellow color still covers the smooth nubuck overlays and inner lining of the shoe, but its intensity appears to be toned down compared to the original previews. The shoe’s nylon tongue now also features this signature shade, replacing the previously shown white. On the other hand, the black tongue label displays a vibrant “Nike Air” logo in a brilliant red. Furthermore, the “Black” tumbled leather depicted in the initial images has been replaced by an enhanced showcase of “Racer Blue” accents on the reverse Swoosh. This vivid blue accent can also be seen on the Cactus Jack branding, tongue, and branding elements on the yellow insole.
Adding to the excitement, the sneaker comes with three sets of laces in different colors: yellow, red, and blue. Sneaker enthusiasts can personalize their style by choosing the laces that best suit their taste, with the yellow pair being a personal favorite for many. The design is completed with a clean white midsole and a “Gum Medium Brown” outsole, giving the sneaker a timeless and stylish look.
