The New Balance Fresh Foam BB made its debut earlier in 2023 but was quickly taken off shelves due to quality control issues. The eyelets and sole had problems, prompting New Balance to make improvements and release the Fresh Foam BB v2.
The overall shape of the Fresh Foam BB v2 remains consistent with its predecessor, but there are a few key differences. The top eyelet has been removed to address the previous quality control issues. Additionally, the sole has been made more robust to prevent any future problems. Suede overlays have replaced the TPU material seen on the previous version, and an oversized N logo has been added to create a more impactful focal point. The midsole features a topographic style pattern that extends down into the outsole, completing the overall design of the shoe.
