The Air Jordan series has always been a symbol of Michael Jordan’s legacy even after his retirement from the NBA. One model in particular, the Jordan 6 Rings, pays tribute to the six NBA titles that Jordan helped the Chicago Bulls win. Over the years, this hybrid silhouette has taken inspiration from various Air Jordan sneakers, including the Air Jordan 11, Air Jordan 6, and Air Jordan 13.
In its latest iteration, the Jordan 6 Rings ditches the traditional black and red color scheme of the Chicago Bulls in favor of a “Cool Grey” palette. This choice is likely a nod to the popular “Cool Grey” makeover of the AJ11, originally released in 2001. With the exception of the laces and panther-like details on the midsole, every component of the shoe is rendered in shades of grey. The most significant departure from the original design is the use of a suede mudguard instead of the usual patent leather.
As of now, Nike has not provided any release details for the new Jordan 6 Rings. However, it is expected that more information will be announced soon. In the meantime, official photos of the shoe have been released for fans to enjoy.
