New Balance has once again blended performance and storytelling in their latest collaboration with Aminé, the Aminé x New Balance 610S Mini Mooz pack. Aminé, who joined New Balance as a brand ambassador in April 2022, gained popularity with the release of the New Balance 610 The Mooz. Now, just in time for the holiday season, Aminé has unveiled the 610S Mini Mooz series, which offers exclusivity and style.
The 610S Mini Mooz pack consists of three colorways: Brown, Yellow, and Green. But these sneakers are more than just a new addition to the lineup; they tell the story of a banana’s lifecycle through sneaker design. With a limited edition release of only 503 pairs (100 for Yellow and Green, and 303 for Brown), each sneaker represents a different stage of ripening. The fresh green of the early days, the ripe yellow, and the mature brown are all depicted through a gradient mesh base overlaid with suede in corresponding tones.
Aminé’s personal touch can be seen with his logo imprinted on the insole of each sneaker. The creamy midsole and outsole provide a subtle contrast to the vibrant upper, adding to the overall aesthetic. The attention to detail extends to the unique banana charms that come with each pair, symbolizing the ripeness level. Additionally, a card illustrating the banana’s lifespan accompanies each pair, showcasing Aminé’s playful and inventive style.
The Aminé x New Balance 610S Mini Mooz pack is set to release in November 2023. The Green pair will be available on November 10 at Kee’s Loaded Kitchen in Portland, Oregon, followed by the Yellow pair on November 12 at Morgenstern’s Bananas in NYC. The Brown pair will be exclusively available online on November 15 via www.clbn.store. Pricing for the sneakers has yet to be announced.
