Limited Edt, a renowned sneaker boutique in Singapore, has teamed up with acclaimed sneaker customizer Mark Ong, also known as Mr Sabotage (or SBTG), to collaborate with New Balance on a special edition of the iconic New Balance 580. This collaboration is part of the Urban Islander collection by Limited Edt and aims to bring a fresh perspective to the revived sneaker model.
The Limited Edt x SBTG x New Balance 580 Urban Islander is inspired by the vibrant lifestyle and energy of Singapore’s tropical paradise. The shoe is crafted from a blend of premium suede, mesh, and TPU materials. A luxurious feel and appearance are achieved through the use of tan pigskin suede on the toe, midfoot, and heel. The woven mesh areas at the toe and collar provide a striking contrast with their deep black hues.
The signature “N” logo of New Balance stands out on the black midfoot panel, elegantly piped with white leather. While the branding for Limited Edt and SBTG is not present, the insole of the shoe features pineapple graphics and Urban Islander branding, adding a unique touch to the design. To complete the shoe, a tan and white midsole and a gum rubber outsole are used.
The Limited Edt x SBTG x New Balance 580 Urban Islander is set to release on December 15, 2023, through Limited Edt and SBTG’s online platforms. The sneaker will be available in men’s sizing and priced at $185.
