In recent months, Jayson Tatum and Jordan Brand have been partnering to provide camouflage-style Player Exclusives of the Jordan Tatum 1 to Jumpman-sponsored programs in college basketball. Schools like Georgetown, UNC, and Houston have all received their own versions of the low-cut sneaker. However, the University of Michigan stands out as the only school to receive a special treatment with their own “Denim” Jordan Tatum 1.
The Michigan PE features a navy-tinted base layer and denim-wash overlays, just like the previously released “Denim” colorway. A chestnut brown heel tab adds a touch of contrast, while the rubber sole unit remains crisp white. The trim of the midsole is accented with a rainbow gradient, and the rest of the shoe incorporates Michigan’s signature yellow color. The heel’s embroidered Jumpman logos and the JT insignia on the left tongue are also in yellow. Additionally, the right tongue tab showcases the original Wolverine logo of the university with dark blue accents.
Unfortunately, the Jordan Tatum 1 “Michigan” PE will not be released for public purchase. It is exclusively reserved for the men’s and women’s basketball teams at Michigan. But don’t worry, you can still enjoy a detailed look at the pair in the images provided.
If you’re a fan of basketball sneakers, keep an eye out for the Kobe 6 “Reverse Grinch” releasing on December 16th.
