The Nike Chinese New Year collection is an annual celebration, and this year’s “Year of the Dragon” lineup is set to be extensive. In addition to the lifestyle offerings, there will also be some performance-focused styles, including the Nike Pegasus 40.
One of the sport-ready silhouettes in the collection is the Nike Pegasus 40, which complements the previously released Nike Ja 1. Unlike its lifestyle counterparts, the Pegasus 40 features a more subdued design. The upper is made of clad-mesh and comes in a single “Sail” color, providing a blank base layer. Neutral colors are used for the TPU quarter, tongue, and laces, creating a clean and minimalist look. The shoe sits on a white React cushioned midsole, and contrasting accents in “University Red” add pops of color to the flame-reminiscent profile Swooshes, tongue tabs, and insoles. The medial checks also sport a salmon pink finish to match the uppermost eye stays.
While a specific release date for the Nike Pegasus 40 “Year of the Dragon” has not been announced yet, detailed imagery of the shoe is already available for sneak peeks.
