The Nike Air Huarache has been a popular choice since it first hit the market in 1991. However, a new version called the Air Huarache Runner was introduced in 2023, drawing inspiration from the style of the early 2000s. This updated version aims to bring back the widespread popularity that the original Huarache enjoyed in the 2010s, with a fresh and sleek design in a colorway known as “Glacier Blue.”
Compared to the original model, the Air Huarache Runner features a lower tongue and backtab, giving it a more compact and streamlined appearance. The White & Metallic Silver color combination used on the leather overlays and mesh detailing is a clear nod to the early century aesthetics that inspired this design. The “Glacier Blue” accents appear on suede panels at the toe and near the laces, as well as subtle touches at the rear. Additionally, teal “Dusty Cactus” adds a pop of color to the branding, with the mini Swoosh on the side and Air Huarache text & logo sporting this hue.
Scheduled for release in men’s sizing, the Nike Air Huarache Runner “Glacier Blue” will be available for purchase at a price point of $140. For those who prefer different styles, check out the Jordan 1 Low “Glacier Blue” and the Nike Cortez “White/Glacier Blue” for similar color options.
If you are interested in purchasing the Nike Air Huarache Runner “Glacier Blue,” you can find it at select retailers. In the US, the release is scheduled for 2024, with options such as Nikestore US offering the shoe for sale. Be sure to check their website for more information on the release date and availability.
