This shoe has gained popularity among athletes and sneakerheads, showcasing Ionescu’s increasing influence in basketball. And just in time for the final showdown, a fresh colorway named “Grounded” is set to release.
The Nike Sabrina 1 in the Grounded colorway represents a perfect blend of function and aesthetics. The upper is meticulously crafted using a combination of engineered mesh, textile, ripstop, and plush suede, resulting in a flawless finish. Adorned in light bone hues, the shoe features white details that accentuate the textile zones around the toe and eyestays. The semi-translucent ripstop layer adds intrigue, with subtle laser orange undertones and a greyish-blue outlined Nike Swoosh. The shoe also features subtle branding, including the distinct “S” logo on the tongue and a vertical Swoosh on the inner side. Ionescu’s identity is stamped at the heel with an “I” overlay, emphasizing her mark on the silhouette.
In terms of performance, the Nike Sabrina 1 Grounded features a coconut milk foam midsole, integrated with Nike’s React technology. This is complemented by Zoom Air in the forefoot and a supportive shank in the midfoot, ensuring both comfort and support on the court. The shoe is completed with a durable greyish-blue rubber outsole, providing excellent grip and stability.
The Nike Sabrina 1 Grounded W is set to release on October 19, 2023, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. It will be available in extended women’s sizing, with a retail price of $130.
