Chief Marketing Officer Edreece Arghandiwal expressed his excitement for the release of the new jerseys, emphasizing the club’s commitment to storytelling and paying homage to the city of Oakland. The home kit features a black base with a mosaic of geometric shapes symbolizing diversity and unity, reflecting the inclusive nature of the club and community.
The away kit pays tribute to the iconic Tribune Tower in Oakland, California, drawing inspiration from its architectural hues on its centennial celebration. The kit features a refined color palette of pale off-white, soft teal, and warm copper tones, echoing the colors found on the historic building.
Both kits incorporate complex patterns of angular shapes representing the growth and ambition of the Oakland Roots SC. The designs aim to symbolize progress and unity, with each shape building upon the other like the stories within the tower and the history of the club.
