Recap: DTLR x Nike Collaboration – Unveiling of “The South’s Voice”

November 14, 2023

The year-long celebration of hip-hop’s Golden Anniversary continued down South this past weekend, with DTLR contributing to the culmination of ceremonies with an applause-worthy event at the Trap Music Museum in Atlanta. In partnership with Nike, DTLR displayed the connections that form among hip-hop, sneakers, and the love of basketball through a variety of impressive exhibitions.

The event, officially dubbed “The South Got Something To Say”, was hosted by DTLR and featured special guest T.I., an iconic figure in the rise of hip-hop from the South. T.I. and the event-goers were presented with awesome displays of footwear tied to game-changing musicians and athletes that have shaped sneaker culture. Some of the notable figures honored included Drake, Michael Vick, and LeBron James, among others.

For those who missed the event, a quick recap can be viewed on our Instagram Stories. Moreover, the exhibition is now open to the public at the Trap Music Museum in Atlanta, allowing local residents to witness this captivating display firsthand.

In related news, the DTLR New Balance 9060 “Fire Sign” is set to drop this week on November 17th. Stay tuned for more updates.
