Release Date for Gallery Department x Vans Rowley XLT

Gallery Dept. has established itself as a prominent collaborator in the sneaker industry, frequently partnering with brands like Vans and ASICS. In its latest venture into footwear, the California-based brand is joining forces with Vans to release the Rowley XLR.

The Gallery Dept. x Vans Rowley XLR reimagines Geoff Rowley’s original signature skate shoe with a contemporary twist. The shoe comes in two contrasting color palettes inspired by skate scenes from the 90s and 2000s. It features a mix of premium leather and suede construction, with the suede textile concentrated on the vamp, tongue, and upper collar, while the rest of the shoe is made from tumbled leather.

The first colorway takes inspiration from Valentine’s Day, with rich chocolate brown tones on the mudguard, eyestay, and heel overlay. The inner lining and vulcanized tread underfoot match the brown hues, while a burnt orange side-stripe adds a pop of color. The second colorway embraces primary colors, with a deep blue covering the vamp, mid-foot, and tongue, and a bold red Jazz Stripe contrasting the muted grey overlays. Both pairs feature crisp white laces and Gallery Dept. tongue tabs.
