In early October, it was announced that New Balance would be expanding their popular 991 silhouette with its first-ever evolution in over 20 years. The release of the 991v2 received a warm welcome last fall, along with a collaboration with Stone Island. Now, among a limited number of inline releases, the New Balance 991v2 is solidifying its position as the brand’s go-to everyday lifestyle sneaker, with an upcoming collaboration with Patta.
Patta, a Dutch streetwear brand, is teaming up with New Balance once again after a year-long hiatus. This time, they are bringing their unique design aesthetic to the 991v2 silhouette. The collaborative sneaker features volt and purple accents that create a striking contrast against the grey mesh base layer and greyscale-tinted heel. The upper overlays are constructed with nubuck and are drenched in a rich plum tone, showcasing Patta’s love for multi-color treatments.
The Patta x New Balance 991v2 collaboration is set to be released at HIP in London. While we eagerly await further release details, you can get a sneak peek of the sneakers in the first-look imagery above.
