At the Nike World Basketball Festival this Summer, Nike unveiled its Holiday 2023 collection featuring a range of “Baroque Brown” lifestyle sneakers and the highly anticipated Nike Kobe 6 Protro “Reverse Grinch”. And now, just in time for the holiday season, Nike has one more gift to offer: the iconic Nike KD 3 “Christmas”.
The Nike KD 3 “Christmas” is known for its vibrant yellow colorway, which first hit the shelves in 2010. This low-top sneaker made its debut on Christmas Day that year when Kevin Durant scored an impressive 44 points against the Denver Nuggets. The colorway quickly became a fan favorite and has remained popular throughout Durant’s signature line.
The Nike KD 3 “Christmas” features the same specifications as the original release from a decade ago. The upper is constructed with a smooth, full-grain leather and is complemented by a gleaming finish on the Flywire construction. The vibrant yellow color covers the majority of the silhouette, including the upper, tongue, soft nylon inner lining, and Zoom Air cushioning system. Accents of “Photo Blue” and “Team Orange” can be found on the profile swooshes, tongue tab, Flywire branding, and the video game controller buttons on the heel.
Nike has announced that the Nike KD 3 Retro “Christmas” will be released on December 23rd, with a retail price of $130. Fans can expect detailed images of the sneaker to be released leading up to the drop. Stay tuned for more updates on this highly anticipated holiday release.
