In December of last year, rising NBA star Trae Young and adidas introduced the first affordable sneaker in Young’s signature series. Now, just a few weeks away from the one-year anniversary of the Trae Unlimited, they have unveiled the sequel – the adidas Trae Unlimited 2.
The design of the Trae Unlimited 2 draws inspiration from various adidas footwear initiatives, including mid-foot overlays reminiscent of the Yeezy 700. The upper features a diamond-cut mesh, providing breathability from the vamp to the heel. Leather overlays on the quarter and heel contribute to a symmetrical appearance on the lateral and medial sides, enhancing durability. The split-tongue construction and inner bootie provide ankle protection, a crucial feature for Trae Young’s playing style. Pull tabs at the tongue and heel make it easier to put on and remove the shoes.
The sole unit of the Trae Unlimited 2 showcases elements from the Trae Young 3, specifically the topographical detailing on the front half. The tread extends onto the midsole at the medial toe, a high-contact area for Young and other quick guards on the basketball court.
Currently, the Trae Unlimited 2 is available in “Green Spark” and “Blue Burst” colorways. While further release details are awaited, adidas fans and sneaker enthusiasts can enjoy a detailed look at the shoe.
Stay tuned for updates on the release and availability of the adidas Trae Unlimited 2, Trae Young’s latest budget-friendly signature sneaker.
