Sneaker Politics Collaborates with Adidas for Exclusive “Consortium Cup” Samba Release

November 14, 2023

In November, Adidas launched the Consortium Cup, a tournament featuring 16 renowned shops from around the world competing for the opportunity to have their exclusive designs produced in limited quantities. Sneaker Politics, a Lafayette-based store, has now unveiled its collaborative version of the Adidas Samba as they have reached the semi-finals of the tournament. The design will be released on Wednesday.

The Sneaker Politics x Adidas Samba “Consortium Cup” features a vibrant color palette inspired by the primary hues on the color wheel. The upper of the shoe is constructed using premium textiles. A shiny blue nylon serves as the base layer, while navy-tinted suedes cover the mudguard and quarter. The tongue, made with a furry material, is treated with a bright green hue. Cream-white laces and dual-branded tongue tabs add to the overall aesthetic. The leather profile 3-Stripes and heel tab are highlighted with a bold red tone, and the shoe sits on a classic gum outsole. Golden “POLITICS” embossing on the lateral heel adds a touch of luxury. The leopard print detailing on the inner lining and insole pays homage to the textiles of the 70s and 80s.

The Sneaker Politics x adidas Samba “Consortium Cup” will be available at Sneaker Politics stores on November 18th for a retail price of $120. An online release is scheduled for November 19th. Detailed images of the shoe can be seen ahead of the release.

In other sneaker news, the Jordan 4 “Olive” is set to release on November 18th.
